Maps - Know Where To Go

Expo: March 25 & 26, 2022

Friday, March 25: 3pm – 7pm
Saturday March 26: 9am – 5pm

Kick off the weekend by picking up your race packet at our Expo in the Gaslamp. For more final instructions regarding Expo, please visit:  How to get to the Expo or How to pick up your race packet.

Enter at Fifth Ave & K St, adjacent to Hilton Gaslamp, 401 K St, San Diego, CA 92101

Race Day: Sunday, March 27, 2022

5:30am

  • Gear Check drop-off opens on K St & Fourth Avenue, adjacent to MLK Park at the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter, 401 K St., San Diego, CA 92101
  • Race Day Packet Pick-Up and our Solutions Tent opens at the southeast corner of Fifth Ave & L St.

6:55am

  • San Diego 5K Start on Harbor Drive at Fifth Ave, accessible via the Harbor Drive pedestrian bridge, located at Trevor Hoffman Way adjacent to Petco Park’s Home Plate Gate. Access via Fifth Ave is not viable so please arrive with enough time to use the pedestrian bridge. If you plan to use our complementary Gear Check (K St & Fourth Ave), you can also make your way to the back of the start waves by using using the pedestrian crossing at 1st Avenue, but please refrain from crossing Harbor Drive until you reach Convention Way and can safely load into your wave from the back of the line.
    • Be advised that your start time may be as early as 6:55am or as late as 7:10am. Your chip time doesn’t begin until you cross the timing mat.
    • Be aware that, during boarding, wave signs will be continually moving forward along Harbor Drive once the race starts.
    • The 5K has a time limit of 1 hr (20 min/mi pace)

7:00am

  • 10K Participants: Shuttles begin departing from Imperial Ave (just across Park Blvd from Petco Park), to the 10K Start. The last shuttle departs at 7:30am.

7:30am

  • Half Marathon Start, on Harbor Drive at 5th Ave, accessible via the Harbor Drive pedestrian bridge, located at Trevor Hoffman Way adjacent to Petco Park’s Home Plate Gate. Access via 5th Ave is not viable so please arrive with enough time to use the pedestrian bridge. If you plan to use our complementary Gear Check (K St & Fourth Ave), you can also make your way to the back of the start waves by using using the pedestrian crossing at 1st Avenue, but please refrain from crossing Harbor Drive until you reach Convention Way and can safely load into your wave from the back of the line.
    • Be advised that your Wave’s start time may be as early as 7:30am or as late as 8:10am.  Your chip time doesn’t begin until you cross the timing mat.
    • Be aware that, during boarding, wave signs will be continually moving forward along Harbor Drive once the race starts.
    • The half marathon has time limit of 3.5 hrs (16 min/mi pace).

7:15am – 12:00pm 

  • Finished?  Congratulations! Be sure to Celebrate with Special Offers for Finishers in the Gaslamp*. Spectators and finishers alike can also watch the finish line from bleachers under the giant video board at Fifth Ave & K St.
  • 8:30am: San Diego 5K winners can visit us at the Awards Tent if you think you might be a winner! Our results and award tents are located on K St between Fourth & Fifth Avenues.
  • 10:30am: Half Marathon and 10K winners can visit us at at the Awards Tent if you think you might be a winner! Our results and award tents are located on K St between Fourth & Fifth Avenues.

Take note of the following Rules of the Road:

  • Start near the back of your wave if you plan to run slower than you expected or if you are alternating between running and walking.  If running with a partner or group, please allow space for other runners to pass and do block the route.
  • If you would like to change waves to join another participant, please ensure that you are moving to a higher wave number (slower pace) and not a to a lower one.
  • When slowing or stopping at a water station, pick up your cup or energy gel as far forward as possible to allow plenty of room for others behind you.
  • Upon finishing, if you would like to wait for another participant, please proceed through the finish area and plan to meet at MLK Park or at your favorite Gaslamp restaurant on Fifth Avenue.
