Date:  Sunday, March 11, 2018
Time:  7:00am – 1:00pm
Cost:  Free and open to the public

What to Expect:  Watch the thrill of accomplishment as runners cross the finish line inside Petco Park! Shop, eat and play among the local Gaslamp businesses in downtown San Diego. Parking is conveniently located along the downtown streets (meters are free on Sundays) or in one of the many nearby paid lots and garages.


  • Track runners using our “Live Tracking” on your computer or mobile device.  For details, see instructions below.
  • Cheer on runners as they pass by – your encouragement goes a long way.
  • Create a sign with your loved one’s name or encouraging words for all the runners. You have the chance to encourage all the participants with a simple piece of paper and a marker!
  • Wear comfortable shoes.  You may have to stand and wait for your loved one for a little while, even if you estimate their arrival times.
  • Bring a camera, layers of clothes, a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen, as needed.
  • Support local businesses. There are great restaurants, coffee shops and more along our route.


Introducing our best-ever real-time race tracking. Find a runner within 10 seconds of crossing each split point.

Track a Runner online:  type the participant’s name into the search bar of the tracker (available a few days before the race); up to 10 can be tracked simultaneously.  On race morning, you can “watch” those you are tracking race along our course by using the “map” tab on the tracker.

Track a Runner by receiving text updates: text the participant’s bib number to the short code: 37619 (limit 5 per mobile device). You’ll receive a text message each time they cross one of our 9 split points.

What’s the best way to track a runner from my mobile device? The best way to track a participant from your mobile device is to download the free app, RTRT.me, now available for iOS or Android.

Can Live Tracking automatically post to my Facebook or Twitter accounts?  Yes, whether you are a participant or a spectator, you can sign in to the tracker to enable Facebook and/or Twitter posts. Finally, friends and family can comment and share in race day excitement!

When are official results posted?  Upon verification, our official results will be posted by 3pm on race day to the Results page.

PLEASE NOTE: Live tracking results are unofficial. Official results are posted upon completion of the event. Locations plotted on map are estimates only.
